A cosmopolitan city in the making
Oslo is a modern and diverse place. If you were here ten or twenty years ago, you will now not recognize the vibrance and soul of the city. More than half of Oslo is covered in forests and parks, making Oslo a green city in summer and ski destination in winter. Despite being the largest capital in Europe (city area), the reputation of a compact city center is accurate. It is easy to explore the city on foot or by (city) bike, and an efficient public transport system makes the whole city available without a car. Museums and cultural highlights fill the city center.
